She has a BA from Hollins College in Virginia, a M.Ed. from Kennesaw State University, in Georgia and she took years of graphic design classes at Lane School of Art in Avondale Heights, Georgia (when she worked as an advertising executive for News/Sun Publications)...
She has also taken workshops from Frank Webb, Don Andrews, Robert Burridge, Tony Couch, Anne Brodie Hill, Nina Fritz, Billie Mathis, Greta Schelk, and Bob Lane. She is a certified teacher in Virginia and Georgia and has been teaching art in Georgia for the past 11 years. In addition, Jill is a member of the Sawnee Artists' Association, the Quinlan Art Center, and the Georgia Art League.
